Frequently Asked Questions

Do your students move onto international schools in Japan?

Yes, every year our students gain spaces in Tokyo’s top tier International Elementary Schools - in recent years we have had students successfully gain admission to the American School In Japan, Nishimachi, The British School in Tokyo, Tokyo International School and Sacred Heart. We support our students by providing thorough progress reports and by completing the target school’s confidential recommendation forms.

Are all your teachers native English speaking?

Whilst all our teachers are fluent in English and our whole program is delivered in English we welcome non-native English speaking teachers as we feel it is important for children to have diverse role-models and our teachers often reflect our student body. We prioritise dedicated, qualified and experienced Early Childhood Educators over the country they happen to come from.

How do you communicate with parents?

We have an App called Class Dojo that we use for sharing information, school events, daily photographs and updates. This can also be used to send direct messages to both your child’s teachers and the school director. Teachers are available at both drop-off and pick-up time for day-today questions and meetings can be arranged at any time throughout the year. There are 2 scheduled Parent Teachers Conferences, one in November and one in May and teachers provide full progress reports prior to the meetings.

Do you provide Afterschool Care?

We offer a full day program from 8-5:15 to families that require it and parents are able to register authorised babysitters to pick up and drop-off.

Do you provide lunch and snacks?

Snacks are provided from home. For lunch you can send a packed lunch or order from our catering company Luca Deli.

“Their time with us may be short, but the joy, confidence, and love of learning they gain will stay with them for a lifetime.”
